CS520 Spring 2000

Under the current scheme of things CS520 is cross listed with CS450.  Those who sign-up for CS520 will be required to complete additional tasks in order to qualify for receiving graduate credit for the course.  The exact nature of these additional tasks will be delineated here.  For all other information concerning the course that is common between CS520 and CS450 refer to the web pages for the CS450 course.

520 ADVANCED COMPILER DESIGN (4)
Prereq: CS 401, 450, or any graduate-level course involving work with formal languages. Theory and practice of compiler design. Detailed consideration of efficient parsing techniques; organization of semantic analysis and code generation phases; machine dependent and independent optimization techniques; organization of runtime environment.
