    9/25:  Lectures to this point have covered the text through Section 2.3. Today we begin relational algebra.
              Please complete reading Chapter 2 by next Tuesday (9/29).
    10/2:  We will finish Chapter 2 today. Please start reading Chapter 3 for Monday's lecture.
    10/22: The midterm exam is available from a link below.  It is due on Friday, 10/30, at the beginning of class.
                We will start Chapter 6 (SQL) on Friday.
